EMS Doha Library Weekly Update: March 29, 2018

Book Week

Message from Ms. May
It has been a week of fun in the library as we celebrate Book Week. The kids enjoyed  different activities and some even had a chance to take home an extra book from the Book Buffet table.

We also received a lot of wonderful entries for Shelf Marker and Bookmark Challenge. As we looked through all of them, we are delighted to see that our students indeed understand the importance of library, books and READING. And so instead of just 3, we selected 4 winners for each category.

Below are the names of the winners:

Shelf Marker Challenge
Martina Nacor             3.7
Haya Ghanem             4.4
Joud Elkabbani           4.4
Yara Abou Hazima      4.4

Bookmark Challenge
Dena Elfahal               5.2
Mariam Khater            6.2
Natallie Mousa            5.4
Omar Malek                5.2

The students had to guess who the teacher behind the book is, can you tell who is who?

Poetry Week
The Secondary Library celebrated Poetry Week last week and had fun and engaging activities set up at the different poetry stations. Students were kind enough to submit their own poems as well.

Please be reminded that the Battle of the Books will begin straight after the break.
